To the south the hills rise with the Pyrenees mountains. The convergence of the rivers Tarn, Garonne and Aveyron, with step valleys, the Midi canal and a very rich history add a touch of magic to the area.
Towns and cities
Montauban
On the banks of the river Lot, the Occitana town is of a pink colour due to the red bricks which were generally used for its contruction.
