about French famillies, villages, towns and cities. There is a huge
collection of old postcards. This will prove to be a good source
of information for tracing roots.

We are often requested to assist in tracing family names and birth
places. Here are a few tips. French family names do not often have
a "TH" in the spelling. "De", "Dela"
and "Du" translate to "from", so "Dupont"
would be "from the bridge".
If you are really stuck then email us and we'll try and help.
During the French revolution, many records and registers where
destroyed or lost. This has had things vey difficult for tracing
information rior to the revolution.
