Dunkerque is in the Pas de Calais, North-Calais
Dunkerque is a maritime town on the English Channel, very close to the frontier with Belgium in the north of France.
During WWII, the French and British soldiers managed to make a retreat and fled to England using boats of all kinds from the beaches of Dunkirk.
