Luxury barge cruise La Reine Pedauque

Cruises on the Burgundy canal which was built in the 18th century. The canal connects the river Saône to the Yonne, the barge travels through the beautiful valley of the river Ouche in the heart of Burgundy. You will travel at a very relaxing pace, passing slowly by small french villages such as Saint Maire sur Ouche, where the bread is still made in wood fired ovens.

One of the barge's moorings is beside a very typical french cafe, an ideal place to taste some of the local wine and watch the villagers cross the Roman bridge to join you for an aperitif. It takes little effort to adjust to this way of life, walking along shaded tow paths, the white charolais cattle grazing in deep green pasture, each turn of the canal will open a wonderful view to other villages, ruined chateaux, distant farms.
